Well it was quite a day!  Great weather for flying!  Berlin to Amsterdam was still dark, changed flights so went direct AMS to MSP (Amsterdam to Minneapolis) on a new Northwest Airbus with the fancy lay down seats.  Not impressed with seats (hard cushions-no padding!)  but plane is nice!  Then cuase we had 150 MPH headwinds, had to make a RUN for the MSP to Grand Forks flight, but we made it, had a good nights sleep and we're back at the grindstone today!  We talked through the week about RAEUCHERMANN...those  incense burning, people looking little German statues.  Well here's a website with over 500 of them...one for every possible profession. Take me to the SMOKERS!

Wednesday December 13, 2006
We started flying at 6am Berlin time (11pm Tuesday in Minnesota) and were  somewhere over England during our Radio Programs.   Dave Tucker did the north show, hiatus down south.

Tuesday December 12, 2006
AWESOME fun in BERLIN!

What a great day.  LOTS OF WALKING!  Carston Pollman drove in from Dresden.  We spent the day visiting the new Berlin Hauptbonhoff (train station) and then in the evening to a Christmas Market...Pics coming.  Then a great Italian Dinner and a long goodbye.

Wednesday December 6, 2006
Well it all turned out good but lots of changes.  We got to Minneapolis and during the wait for the flight to Newark, the schedule got later and later.  Finally we figured out that there was no way I would get there to catch the Continental flight to Amsterdam.  Soooo I got rebooked on the 3:30 flight from MSP to AMS and got to ride in one of the new Airbus planes that Nwest has.  It was great but no sleep so very tired.  Arrive at 11:30am Berlin time (4:30am Minnesota time) Off to Henry's apartment.  Met the cast/stars of the movie Henry is working on.  Thai food.  Lots of Conversation!

Tuesday December 5, 2006
Farm sitters are in place, Dave Tucker is doing the show on KNOX, we should be coming to our listeners at KKOJ and KRAQ via the magic of tape.  We're on the airplane to Minneapolis during our shows.  Grand Forks, Minneapolis, Newark, Amsterdam and Finally Berlin.

Monday December 4, 2006   We're OFF to Germany
As we talked about last week, there's a place in Downtown Berlin where there are two identical (on the outside anyway) Churches.  During Advent the entire space between them is filled with a gigantic Christmas Market!  Here's some of the finest pictures of the event that I've found on the net!  I spent time here in 2003 and am looking to spend at least a day there in the upcoming week.  http://www.galenfrysinger.com/christmas_berlin_gendarmenmarkt.htm
